This was my first panoramic image of any consequence made on a home assembled splice of two Kodak 1A brownie folding camera backs with three red film advance holes that delivered five 6x14 format images, a format I call "double ideal" (two 6x7's). The lens was a fixed focus Super Angulon f8. The viewer was a

Konica external 65mm viewer to give the vertical coverage, and two pieces of adhesive tape pointing to the LH and RH coverage. The lens was mounted on a 4x5 Meridian round lens board, and was removable so it could be used on the 4x5 camera as well. The light trap for the lens board was made from the remains of a felt hat, and the camera had a dark slide to protect the film. The film was Ektachrome 64 processed in E3 chemistry.
